Mountain shelter, Poland
The main idea behind the design of the new mountain shelter was to find common features of traditional mountain architecture and contemporary architecture. The exaggerated, sculptured roof smoothly merging into the façade and the massive shape are some of the features whose analogies can be easily found in the existing polish moutain shelters. The intention of the project was to create a unique climate around and inside the building, characteristic of architecture, which arises in difficult mountain conditions. The shelter, built of local material, naturally becomes part of the place where it will be built.
